The Met’s Creative Learning Hub

Workshops and creative projects that bring people together through music, art, and theatre.

Alongside its famous gigs, The Met runs a brilliant Creative Learning Hub that’s all about participation. You’ll find songwriting sessions, youth theatre, choir rehearsals, and relaxed creative workshops designed for all ages and abilities. The Hub works with local schools, community groups, and LGBTQ+ organisations to make sure everyone’s got access to the arts — whether you’re a complete beginner or an emerging artist. The team are passionate about using creativity to build confidence and connection, especially for those who might not always feel they belong in “traditional” arts spaces. Expect a warm welcome, clear access info, and lots of laughs along the way. From family drumming to storytelling with older residents, this side of The Met proves that culture doesn’t stop when the curtain falls — it carries on through the people who make it.
