OutThere by Gaydio is your editor-friendly guide to the vibrant culture of Greater Manchester, viewed through an authentic LGBTQ+ lens. The site brings together trusted venue information, easy-to-use filters, neighbourhood insights, and real community stories to help you discover the best of what the region has to offer. Whether you are exploring nightlife, arts, food, heritage or hidden gems, OutThere is designed to make every visitor feel informed, represented and welcomed.

At its core, OutThere is a community-driven cultural guide. It celebrates the spaces we gather in, the people who shape our city, and the creativity, resilience and joy at the heart of LGBTQ+ life in Greater Manchester. Everything on the site is curated with care: verified details, inclusive language and content that reflects the full diversity of our community.

Who We Are
OutThere is proudly delivered by Gaydio, the UK’s LGBTQ+ radio station, and developed through the Gaydio Academy, our training and skills programme that helps people gain experience in media, digital storytelling and the creative industries. Through the Academy, emerging creatives and volunteers help research, write and shape the content you see on this site.

Our Support
This project is made possible with funding from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) Culture Fund, which enables us to amplify LGBTQ+ culture, support local creativity and keep OutThere free and accessible to everyone.

Thank you for being part of this journey to celebrate, explore and elevate LGBTQ+ culture across Greater Manchester. Together, we can make the city even more OutThere.
