Salford

The Pink Picnic is Salford’s annual LGBTQ+ Pride celebration held in historic Peel Park. It is organised by the charity Salford Pride and has grown into one of the North West’s largest grassroots Pride events. The day blends a relaxed picnic vibe with a main stage featuring artists, drag, and community performers. Access and family-friendly spaces are a core part of the layout, alongside quiet areas and community information stalls. The 2025 edition took place on 21 June and drew large crowds from across Greater Manchester. Organisers announced that the next Pink Picnic will return on Saturday 13 June 2026. Ticketing options include free entry for under-16s and accessible entry for those who need it. Attendees are encouraged to bring reusable containers and use on-site refill stations to reduce waste. Local volunteers and sponsors help keep the event affordable and welcoming. Salford Pride uses the event to celebrate inclusion and to sustain year‑round community support.
